I have been listening to The Sword of Truth series from the beginning and the overall thread of the story is great, but each book has a different narrator. OK, just downloaded this title and am a bit bemused. Good luck people tolerating this title and the next one. They usually pronounce the names right, but come on Dick, next time.do alittle research before hand and avoid these negative reviews, that is, if you even care. I understand he reads Book 5 too.YAY!!!! Switching from one narrator to another in a long series is something that I am used to. Do you think the narrators even care what we have to say? Probably not. I doubt the narrator even listened to ANY previous copies of the books, so as to keep continuity to the story.I've been listening for 10 minutes, confused as to who Kara was talking to and had to stop to read the reviews, something I hardly do, as not to have my impression of the book tainted by positive or negative reviews. Obviously, this was never editted by audible, or they would know that Terry Goodkind had intended that the name be pronounced correctly.(KAY-LIN). Troy, you are right. In the beginning, Im wondering who the heck is Colin? Some new character? Someone we have never met? No, just a real bad reader. Wow, this narrator really ruined this book And her desire to better the world has never been limited to only her own kind. The X-Man called STORM has always defied a single title. In Brett White interview with “Storm” writer Greg Pak you can see that he’s gonna be taking this series very seriously, hopefully it’ll translate on paper. I’m loving the cover art done by Victor Ibanez and some of the first few pages look cool too, I just hope they don’t drop the ball on this one. Now as awesome as Storm finally having her own comic may be, I really hope that the story and action in this comic is stellar! People have been waiting a long time for this day to come and to do this series just for the sake of diversifying without putting any real passion behind it would be a huge let down. In Marvel Comics recent push to “Diversify” it’s releases, they finally gave one of the most prominent X-Men and marvel heroines, Storm her own ongoing series! Not only is Storm an iconic comic character she’s also the first black female superheros. Over her career, Silva's sold film projects to Paramount, Universal, and New Line Cinema. This is a story about a world where vicious manticores roam the land, attacking humans whenever they have the chance. Untethered Sky is quite a change from Fonda Lee’s Green Bone saga, but I was happy to see that her storytelling and writing are just as strong, even in such a short format. The nitty-gritty: Fonda Lee populates her latest story with mythological creatures, resulting in a thrilling, heartfelt story. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. I received this book for free from the Publisher in exchange for an honest review. Thankfully, the Secret Barrister is back to reveal the stupidity, malice and incompetence behind many of the biggest legal stories of recent years. In Fake Law, the Secret Barrister debunks the lies and builds a defence against the abuse of our law, our rights and our democracy that is as entertaining as it is vital. This fake law allows the powerful and the ignorant to corrupt justice without our knowledge worse, we risk letting them make us complicit. This 'fake law' allows the powerful and the ignorant to corrupt justice without our knowledge - worse, we risk letting them make us complicit. Our unfamiliarity is dangerous because it makes us vulnerable to media spin, political lies and the kind of misinformation that frequently comes from loud-mouthed amateurs and those with vested interests. But the law touches every area of our lives: from intimate family matters to the biggest issues in our society. Most of us think the law is only relevant to criminals, if we even think of it at all. Could the courts really order the death of your innocent baby? Was there an illegal immigrant who couldn't be deported because he had a pet cat? Are unelected judges truly enemies of the people? In the case of the 3.5 inch Super Bazooka, the effective fighting range was some 110 m. On the whole, as a consequence, rocket launchers tend to have a low muzzle velocity and a restricted effective range. If a high muzzle velocity were demanded then the launcher would be very long and the rocket would be large and heavy. When a rocket is launched, the rocket and its casing must be accelerated away in addition to the warhead. To improve their portability, they have been hinged or separated into two parts which could the be interlocked for use. This necessitates long, often unwieldy tubes. A rocket must all be burnt before it emerges from its tube (All Burnt On Launch = ABOL) its efflux will burn the firer if it is not. It guides the projectile on to the correct line and it protects the firer. The United States 2.36 inch Bazooka M9A1 was perhaps the most famous early rocket launcher it was the forerunner of the 3.5 inch rocket launcher M20 (sometimes called the “Super Bazooka”) which was used in Western Block armies. This is just a story, so it’s too short to really begin making connections, but it’s piqued my interest and I’m definitely in want of the full story. I can see a big storm coming down on all their heads because Andres doesn’t follow the rules, he doesn’t forget Eureka, and this looks like Teardrop is going to be my kind of story. And I love that he really doesn’t give in like he’s supposed to. I like this group of people, the Seedbearers, though I don’t like that they are so secretive and expect Andres to give up everything of his past, including his dog(!) in order to join their ranks. I haven’t read more than the first few pages of the full novel, but it definitely sparked my interest and I became interested in Ander, so I grabbed this short story to see what I could find out while I wait for my copy of Teardrop from the library. This is a very short look into the life of Andre, the main male character in Teardrop. a world where everything you love can be washed away.
